A Different Kind of Cross Stitch Magazine

Chaos Cross Stitch Magazine was created for stitchers who love the strange, the spooky, the emotional, the unconventional, and the beautifully creative side of modern cross stitch.

We are an independent alternative cross stitch publication focused on showcasing artists, creators, and designers whose work exists outside the traditional boundaries of the hobby. From witchy elegance and gothic romance to dark humor, cozy spooky aesthetics, tattoo-inspired artwork, vintage Halloween nostalgia, cute creepy characters, emotional storytelling, and everything in between — Chaos exists to celebrate creative voices that deserve to be seen.

Not every design needs to be dark horror. Not every pattern needs to be traditional sampler art. We believe cross stitch can be strange, funny, dramatic, emotional, playful, rebellious, comforting, weird, elegant, or deeply personal.

Chaos Cross Stitch Magazine proudly supports both established and emerging creators.

Many talented artists never get visibility simply because they are new, small, independent, or working outside mainstream crafting trends. We believe incredible creativity deserves attention regardless of follower count, industry status, or publication history.

That means:

We care far more about originality, presentation, readability, craftsmanship, and artistic personality than popularity.

We also believe artists deserve to remain owners of their own work. Contributors retain copyright ownership of their patterns and artwork while granting publication rights necessary for magazine distribution and archival use.

Chaos Cross Stitch Magazine exists to elevate creators — not take ownership away from them.

We do not accept low-effort automated conversions or AI-generated artwork converted directly into charts with little human refinement.

This publication is being built independently from the ground up under Bone & Briar Holdings with the long-term goal of becoming a lasting creative platform for alternative cross stitch artists and readers.
